Modelling of DSCs at Different Film Thicknesses with Experimental Validation

  • We present a model and experiments where the local fermi-level determines the properties of electron transport and recombination in mesoporous TiO2 at different applied voltages and light intensites. A series of experiments have been performed for DSCs at different film thicknesses. This series of experiments includes IV measurements, transport time, life time and average fermi level. This study connects the electron lifetime and transport measurements with efficiency limitations of the solar cells and is therefore of high importance.
